Holly's Personal Training Diary:

Week 1: I can't believe that I won free personal training with Christina!!! I have a friend who works out with her and has seen tremendous results from it and I have been so excited to meet her & when I was looking around on her website one day I saw the application for this lifestyle makeover and couldn't pass up the chance to have their advice at my fingertips! I never win anything and this was sooo exciting for me.

I have always been an avid exerciser but have never been able to achieve the results that I have longed for and now that I've had a baby (who is 2) and twins (who will be 1 soon!) I needed desperately to prove to myself that I could change my body and be my best for so many reasons and personal goals. I decided that I would LOVE to try to compete in a figure competition as Christina specializes in this sport specific training and she has assured me that with her help, I will succeed in achieving this goal! I cannot wait to see how she sculpts my body like the architect that she has proven to be with so many of her clients!

Week 2: This week I find myself questioning everything... before working out here I lifted really HEAVY, will I lose my muscle? I am hungry but not for chicken and rice, how in the world am I going to make it until a competition? I can't tell if I will really be able to look like the figure competitors I see in magazines and walking around the gym... should I just quit and go back to my workouts before and eat what I want on a free day?? This is the turning point of my goal- To stay or to go... I guess it's a matter of how bad do I want it? Christina has been really good at helping me along with my diet and has prescribed some serious high intensity cardio for me so that my physique will start to change-I'm not noticing much yet but I'm sure it's all about the learning process and the way that she will tweak my program as I go along. This week I'm just happy to be a part of it but I doubt myself.

Week 3: OK, So, my twins turned ONE today!!! I was thinking about the day that they were born one year ago... I was in labor, had them both naturally (nicer way of saying no C-section) my daughter was breech, I was nursing them nonstop and had one in the NICU... I had never been more EXHAUSTED in my life-Sprints were NOTHING TO ME today! This exercise is CAKE compared to what I've been through this past year--- NOTHING can stop me now! Christina pulled out the stops on my good attitude and strong willingness to WORK HARD and I was sore this week! The soreness was in all the right places though and I started getting compliments at the gym that I had called home for so long when I went in to teach my classes. Everyone is complimenting me on losing weight!!! The scale hasn't budged much so the only thing I can figure is that I must be losing body fat which in my opinion is AWESOME! I can't wait to see what she brings out next week.

Week 4: I'm starting to notice a difference in my body... I've been getting comments on how I'm losing weight at work as well as compliments on my shoulders from friends! I am so excited that the weather is getting nicer so I can wear TANK TOPS! Christina took my body fat measurements and I've lost 3% in only 4 weeks I can't believe it's happening so fast! The scale isn't reflecting much of a difference but my body is definitely changing for the better.

I have been keeping the diet very strictly except for the occasion where I get up later and don't get my last "meal" in for the day... I'm trying really hard to make sure that I'm getting in my protein & veggies. I have also been working on my cardio sessions, Christina would LOVE for me to do it twice a day 6 days a week but with kids the ages of mine some days that is just not possible so I'm doing my best to make sure I do it EVERY day at least once and every other day twice... this has been easier to manage with my lifestyle.

I'm still planning on doing the figure competition on May 2nd that I set out to do but if I don't feel ready by then I may just wait and do a later one. Being in a very small bikini on a big stage in front of people when my confidence is not very high to begin with may be a stretch but I'm working hard in hopes that I can accomplish this goal and get past my fear.

Christina's work out on Thursday KICKED MY BUTT literally! I LOVED IT and I can't wait for more!
