Week 1: I have only been on the program for 1 week, but WOW!!

I thought that I'd have to starve myself, but I have to eat more than I was -only healthier. I really craved the sugar and diet cola at first, but even that urge is gone by now.

My workouts were "work", but I felt so much better after each one that I kick myself for not doing this long ago. I was a little stiff and sore after the first one, but never since.

What I like best are the changes I feel and see in my body: I have more energy all day, I'm more flexible and I can wear jeans that didn't fit just 7 days ago. Amazing!!

Bring on the new week, I'm ready to do it again!

Week 2: My body is changing so much and so fast, I am truly amazed!! People are even saying that my face looks different and I actually had to go bra shopping yesterday.

My trainer is awesome! She knows just how to keep me motivated. In just two weeks, I've lost 9 lbs, 4 1/2 inches from my chest and 3 inches from my waist.

Though it takes more time, I really enjoy doing my workouts at the studio, there is always so much going on. It's awesome to watch other people taking time to take care of themselves too. I have often been guilty of taking care of everyone else and neglecting myself. This program is helping me realize that when I am in better shape, I can take better care of others too.

I've gotten used to the nutrition plan, and don't really miss what I used to eat so much anymore. I even went to a party on Wednesday at a bar. I made sure I ate just before and after -and enjoyed water with lemon and the company instead of the food.

Ready for week 3!!!

Week 3: This has been my toughest week as far as getting to the studio to work out. My energy level has plummeted -blame it on the crazy weather or on catching a cold- and I have had a harder time getting motivated to move at all. But I did get there 6 out of 7 days and it was so worth it -I lost another 6 pounds this week.

I really enjoy my weight training time with the trainers. It doesn't seem like a whole hour, it goes way too fast. They are always encouraging and adapts my workouts just for me, to keep me challenged enough and never bored. They'll even meet me at 6AM on Saturday when I have trouble with scheduling.

I have had a few issues with getting all of my meals in during each day. And now I get 6 meals! Since I don't ever feel hungry, it's hard to remember to eat often enough. Who knew that a person could eat so much food and lose so much weight?! In 3 weeks, 15 pounds and 5% body fat!!! Now that's motivating!

Week 4: It has been a crazy busy week, but I have kept up with the workouts and it's getting easier for me to keep up. I had physical therapy Friday and got good news: My SI joint that had been frozen since the wreck in November has a little movement. We believe it is because I am strengthening all the other core muscles and working them so hard. Maybe I won't need shots after all.

Yesterday, I was at a seminar all day. I took a little cooler with all of my meals and did not eat the danishes for breakfast, the box lunch, or the big brownies for afternoon break. I only had a couple of people ask me why I was hauling my own food and I just told them I needed a special diet.

This morning was weigh in. I only lost 3 pounds this week, but I'm down 1% more in body fat and still losing inches. I am looking forward to cleaning out my closet, because most of the clothes there just hang off of me. How's that for motivation!!

Week 8: I can't believe it's over! Things got so crazy the last few weeks with my schedule that at times I questioned my sanity. But I can now say with certainty that IT WAS SOOOO WORTH IT ALL!

Today was the photo shoot and the final weigh in, and I am so amazed. My final stats are 32 lbs lost, almost 12% body fat, and I feel so awesome. I've had to go shopping, and for the first time in years I don't have to go to the Plus-size departments! I went from a size 22 to a size 12 in just 8 weeks.

This experience has taught me so much. I now know how and what I should be eating, and how much I should be excersizing. I am ready to continue on the journey to a healthier me that I've begun during this 8 weeks. I also know that if I can do this I can do just about anything I set my mind to. And if I can do it, anyone can.

So many people have encouraged and enabled me to complete this challenge. Special thanks to the His & Her Fitness trainers who wouldn't give up on me. I couldn't have done any of it without the constant help and support of my sister Dianna, and encouragement of my mom and my daughters, Laura and Mandy.

Bring on the rest of my life!!!
